Captain America is a fictional superhero showing in American comic books printed by Marvel Comics. Created by cartoonists Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, the type first came out in Captain America Comics #1 (cover dated March 1941) from Timely Comics, a predecessor of Marvel Comics. Captain America was designed as a patriotic supersoldier who often fought the Axis capabilities of World Conflict II and was Well-timed Comics' most popular personality through the wartime period. The reputation of superheroes waned following the pugilative war and the Captain America comic reserve was discontinued in 1950, with a short-lived revival in 1953. Since Marvel Comics revived the character in 1964, Captain America has continued to be in publication. .
Captain America would wear a costume that bears an American flag theme, and is armed with a practically indestructible shield that hethrows at foes. The character is depicted as the alter ego of Steve Rogers usually, a frail young man enhanced to the peak of human perfection by an experimental serum to aid the United States government's efforts in World War II. To avoid a recurrence of the problem, Rogers modified the mask with connecting material to his uniform, an added benefit of which was extending his armor to protect his previously exposed neck. As a member of the Avengers, Rogers comes with an Avengers priority cards, which functions as a communications device. .
