Captain America is a fictional superhero showing in American comic books printed by Marvel Comics. Created by cartoonists Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, the type first came out in Captain America Comics #1 (cover dated March 1941) from Timely Comics, a predecessor of Marvel Comics. Captain America was designed as a patriotic supersoldier who often fought the Axis capabilities of World Conflict II and was Well-timed Comics' most popular personality through the wartime period. Since Marvel Comics revived the character in 1964, Captain America has continued to be in publication. .

Captain America would wear a costume that bears an American flag theme, and is armed with a practically indestructible shield that hethrows at foes. The character is depicted as the alter ego of Steve Rogers usually, a frail young man enhanced to the peak of human perfection by an experimental serum to aid the United States government's efforts in World War II. Near the last end of the battle, he was trapped in snow and survived in suspended computer animation until he was revived in today's day. WEAPON :Captain America has used multiple shields throughout his history, the most common of which is a nigh-indestructible disc-shaped shield made from an experimental alloy of metal and the fictional vibranium. The shield was cast by North american metallurgist Dr. Myron MacLain, who was simply contracted by the U.S. administration, from requests of Chief executive Franklin D. Roosevelt, to make an impenetrable element to work with for tanks during World Conflict II. This alloy was created by accident and never duplicated, although work to reverse-engineer it led to the discovery of adamantium. .

Captain America uses his shield as an unpleasant throwing weapon often. The first instance of Captain America's trademark ricocheting shield-toss occurs in Stan Lee's first comics writing, the two-page text story "Captain America Foils the Traitor's Revenge" in Captain America Comics #3 (May 1941). The legacy of the shield among other comics personas includes the time-traveling mutant superheroCable sharing with Captain America that his shield still is available in another of the possible futures; Cable tv provides it into struggle and brandishes it as a symbol. .

When without his hallmark shield, Captain America sometimes uses other shields made from less durable metals such as metal, or perhaps a photonic energy shield designed to imitate a vibranium matrix. Rogers, having relinquished his regular shield to Barnes, carried a variant of the vitality shield which can be used in combination with either arm, and used to either block attacks or as an improvised offensive weapon able to cut through metal with relative ease. Much like his Vibranium shield, the energy shield can be tossed, including ricocheting off multiple areas and time for his hand. .

Captain America's standard is constructed of a fire-retardant materials, and he would wear a light, bulletproof duralumin level armor beneath his standard for added protection. Originally, Rogers' mask was another piece of material, but an early engagement got it dislodged, almost revealing his id thus. To avoid a recurrence of the problem, Rogers modified the mask with connecting material to his uniform, an added benefit of which was extending his armor to protect his previously exposed neck. As a member of the Avengers, Rogers comes with an Avengers priority cards, which functions as a communications device. .
