WEAPON :Captain America has used multiple shields throughout his record, the most widespread of which is a nigh-indestructible disc-shaped shield made from an experimental alloy of metal and the fictional vibranium. The shield was cast by North american metallurgist Dr. Myron MacLain, who was contracted by the U.S. government, from purchases of Chief executive Franklin D. Captain America often uses his shield as an unpleasant throwing tool. The first instance of Captain America's trademark ricocheting shield-toss occurs in Stan Lee's first comics writing, the two-page text story "Captain America Foils the Traitor's Revenge" in Captain America Comics #3 (May 1941). The legacy of the shield among other comics heroes includes the time-traveling mutant superheroCable showing Captain America that his shield still is accessible in one of the possible futures; Cable television provides it into struggle and brandishes it as a symbol. .

Rogers, having relinquished his regular shield to Barnes, carried a variant of the energy shield which may be used with either arm, and used to either block attacks or as an improvised offensive weapon able to cut through metal with relative ease. Much like his Vibranium shield, the shield can be thrown, including ricocheting off multiple surfaces and returning to his hand. .
Captain America's even is made of a fire-retardant materials, and he would wear a light in weight, bulletproof duralumin size shield beneath his standard for added cover. Originally, Rogers' mask was a separate piece of materials, but an early on engagement acquired it dislodged, thus almost revealing his id. To avoid a recurrence of the problem, Rogers modified the mask with connecting material to his uniform, an added benefit of which was extending his armor to hide his previously exposed neck. As being a known member of the Avengers, Rogers comes with an Avengers priority greeting card, which provides as a marketing communications device. .
