WEAPON :Captain America has used multiple shields throughout his background, the most prevalent of which is a nigh-indestructible disc-shaped shield made from an experimental alloy of material and the imaginary vibranium. The shield was cast by American metallurgist Dr. Myron MacLain, who was simply contracted by the U.S. federal, from orders of Chief executive Franklin D. Roosevelt, to generate an impenetrable chemical to use for tanks during World Conflict II. This alloy was created by accident rather than duplicated, although initiatives to reverse-engineer it led to the discovery of adamantium. .

When without his hallmark shield, Captain America sometimes uses other shields created from less durable metals such as material, or a photonic energy shield made to mimic a vibranium matrix even. Rogers, having relinquished his regular shield to Barnes, carried a variant of the energy shield which can be used in combination with either arm, and used to either block attacks or as an improvised offensive weapon in a position to cut through metal with relative ease. Much like his Vibranium shield, the energy shield can be thrown, including ricocheting off multiple surfaces and returning to his hand. .
Captain America's uniform is constructed of a fire-retardant materials, and he wears a lightweight, bulletproof duralumin range shield beneath his standard for added coverage. Originally, Rogers' face mask was a separate piece of material, but an early on engagement experienced it dislodged, almost exposing his identification thus. To prevent a recurrence of the situation, Rogers modified the mask with connecting material to his uniform, an extra benefit of that was extending his armor to pay his previously exposed neck. Like a known member of the Avengers, Rogers has an Avengers priority card, which provides as a marketing communications device. .
