WEAPON :Captain America has used multiple shields throughout his record, the most prevalent of which is a nigh-indestructible disc-shaped shield created from an experimental alloy of metal and the imaginary vibranium. The shield was cast by North american metallurgist Dr. Myron MacLain, who was contracted by the U.S. federal, from orders of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, to build an impenetrable chemical to work with for tanks during World Warfare II. This alloy was made by accident rather than duplicated, although work to reverse-engineer it led to the breakthrough of adamantium. .

Captain America often uses his shield as an offensive throwing weapon. The first instance of Captain America's trademark ricocheting shield-toss occurs in Stan Lee's first comics writing, the two-page text story "Captain America Foils the Traitor's Revenge" in Captain America Comics #3 (May 1941). The legacy of the shield among other comics individuals includes the time-traveling mutant superheroCable informing Captain America that his shield still is present in another of the possible futures; Cable television bears it into struggle and brandishes it as a symbol. .

When without his trademark shield, Captain America sometimes uses other shields created from less durable metals such as metal, or a photonic energy shield designed to mimic a vibranium matrix even. Rogers, having relinquished his regular shield to Barnes, carried a variant of the vitality shield which can be used in combination with either arm, and used to either block attacks or as an improvised offensive weapon in a position to cut through metal with relative ease. Much like his Vibranium shield, the shield can be tossed, including ricocheting off multiple surfaces and time for his hand. .

Captain America's even is constructed of a fire-retardant material, and he would wear a light and portable, bulletproof duralumin range shield beneath his uniform for added protection. Originally, Rogers' cover up was a separate piece of materials, but an early on engagement possessed it dislodged, almost revealing his identification thus. To avoid a recurrence of the situation, Rogers modified the mask with connecting material to his uniform, an extra benefit of which was extending his armor to pay his previously exposed neck. As a member of the Avengers, Rogers has an Avengers priority cards, which provides as a communications device. .
